PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Assyifa Shandi Gunawan and Muhammad Mifftah Fauzan were selected as Mojang and Jajaka of Bandung City 2025. Both were selected at the Grand Final Night of Pasanggiri Mojang Jajaka (Moka) Bandung City 2025 at HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Festival Citylink, Friday (10/10/2025).

Assyifa and Fauzan have become the new faces of Bandung City's cultural and tourism ambassadors.

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan was present at the event. In his remarks, he stated that the Pasanggiri Mojang Jajaka is not only a beauty and handsomeness contest, but also an arena for character development, insight, and pride in Sundanese culture.

"I'm very grateful to be here tonight with these extraordinary finalists. Pasanggiri Mojang Jajaka isn't just a contest, but a space for regeneration and pride for Bandung's young generation," said Farhan.

He appreciated all parties who collaborated, including the Bandung City DPRD, the Culture and Tourism Office, and the Mojang Jajaka Association.

Farhan called October the month of cultural revival in Bandung City, with various arts and music activities held almost every week.

"From hardcore metal in Ujungberung, jazz in the city center, to tonight's Pasanggiri Mojang Jajaka, all depict Bandung as a vibrant and colorful cultural city," he said.

According to him, this spirit is in line with Bandung's identity as "The Capital of Asia and Africa", a place where various world cultures meet.

"We want Bandung's youth to become ambassadors capable of showcasing local charm with a global flair," Farhan emphasized.

Meanwhile, Head of Bandung City Culture and Tourism Office, Adi Junjunan Mustafa, explained that Pasanggiri Mojang Jajaka 2025 carries the theme "Pan Rona Bandung", from the words pancar (radiating) and rona (color).

This theme depicts the beauty and diversity of Bandung City, which radiates charm from every aspect.

"Pan Rona Bandung is an invitation to get to know this city more deeply through its culture, history, lifestyle, and the creativity of its residents," said Adi.

Adi explained that the selection process lasted for almost three months, starting from administration, briefing, to the quarantine period at various locations such as Telkom Corporate University, Bandung Rakuten Hub, and Harris Hotel.

"We're not just looking for someone who's attractive, but also someone who's intelligent, communicative, and passionate about promoting Bandung to the world," he said.

A total of 20 finalists (10 pairs) aged 17–24 years competed in various assessment categories, including cultural insight, communication skills, tourism knowledge, and social awareness.
