PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government through the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) sealed the videotron at Padel Club Six Nine.

The videotron located on Jalan LLRE Martadinata was sealed on Wednesday (5/8/2026) because it did not yet have an Advertising Organization Permit (IPR).

The sealing was carried out as a follow-up to the results of the investigation into the case of the felling of 10 trees without permission at the location.

Head of Bandung City Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), Bambang Sukardi, said that the Investigation Report (BAP) showed a link between the logging and the installation of videotrons.

"Today we sealed the videotron because the permit had not been issued. This sealing is also a follow-up to the felling of 10 trees on Jalan LLRE Martadinata. This demonstrates the Bandung City Government's firm commitment to enforcing regional regulations while preserving the environment," said Bambang.

He explained that the felling of the tree violated Bandung City Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2026, specifically Article 17 paragraph (1) letter J.

Based on these provisions, every tree that is cut down without permission must be replaced with 10 trees and is subject to a forced fine of IDR 10 million per tree.

Thus, a violation of 10 trees requires the planting of 100 replacement trees and payment of an administrative fine of IDR 100 million.

According to Bambang, the obligation to replace the trees and pay the fines has been fulfilled by the responsible party.

From the results of the investigation, the perpetrator of the felling admitted that the action was carried out because the trees were considered to be blocking the visibility of the videotron.

However, Bambang emphasized that this confession was still part of the investigation process by the authorities.

"The report states that the felling was carried out by a subcontractor working on the park's construction. They claimed responsibility for the incident. However, the investigation will continue to determine whether other parties were also responsible," he said.

Bambang added that the sealing was only carried out on the videotron because it did not yet have an advertising permit.

Meanwhile, the operation of padel fields and business buildings remains permitted because all permits have been declared complete by the technical agency.

"The padel building and business are not the main issue because the permits are complete. We only sealed the videotron, which was unlicensed and related to the tree felling violation," he explained.

The sealing was carried out in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Sanitation (DLHK), the Department of Housing and Settlement Areas (DPKP), and the Environmental Supervisory Agency of the Ministry of Environment.

DPKP has prepared a location for planting replacement trees, while sidewalk arrangements are being coordinated with the Water Resources and Highways Agency (DSDABM).

This step was taken so that the function of public spaces around the location could be restored after handling the violations.

The Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) emphasized that the sealing of the videotron remains in effect until all licensing requirements are met according to regulations.

The Bandung City Government ensures that law enforcement against cases of illegal logging will continue to protect the environment and ensure compliance with regulations.
