PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Babakan Siliwangi Tourism Area is once again crowded with local and foreign tourists.

As one of the most popular green open spaces in Bandung City, Babakan Siliwangi continues to attract the attention of visitors who want to enjoy the natural atmosphere amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.

This weekend, thousands of visitors were seen crowding the 3.8-hectare area. With its cool air and shady trees, Babakan Siliwangi has become a favorite destination for families, couples, and communities that hold various outdoor activities such as picnics, yoga, and photography.

In addition to being a place of recreation, Babakan Siliwangi is also often used for various arts and cultural events, one of which is the Garut Sheep art skill which was recently reactivated by the Bandung City Government.

These activities also serve as additional attractions that enhance the tourist experience.

Visitors can also enjoy adequate jogging track facilities and instagrammable photo spots, making Babakan Siliwangi a must-visit destination for those who want to relax or exercise amidst natural nuances.

One of the visitors who regularly exercises at Babakan Siliwangi, Anita (32) said that now many tourists and cultural figures come to crowd Babakan Siliwangi.

"Whether today or yesterday, I saw Baksil very busy and packed with visitors, I am happy to see it so busy," said Anita in Babakan Siliwangi, Bandung City (1/9/2024).

On the other hand, a fan of Garut sheep dexterity art, Andri (40) said that the incentive to come to Baksil was because he heard news from his friend who would be taking part in the 2024 Bandung Mayor's Cup.

"I am happy to see the Garut Sheep dexterity art, thank God now you don't have to go far if you want to see a dexterity art performance because Babakan Siliwangi has been reactivated by the City Government," he said proudly.

With more and more tourists coming, Babakan Siliwangi continues to show that green spaces in the middle of the city are not only important for environmental sustainability, but can also be a magnet for local tourism. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/Fauziah)
