PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government is presenting Bandung Game Demo Day to help local gaming talents develop their work towards the global market.

The activity took place at the Multipurpose Building of Bandung City Hall for two days (7–8/8/2026) presenting 32 demo games.

The public can try out various games directly and provide feedback before developers release their products.

Luat Sihombing, Director of Games at the Ministry of Creative Economy, assessed that the activity was important for developing gaming talent from the region.

"Bandung Game Demo Day is crucial because talent starts locally. With the support of the community and the city government, we can build a strong ecosystem and showcase Bandung's talent potential at the international level," he said.

Luat hopes that similar activities will attract investment, create jobs, and encourage exports of Indonesian gaming products.

Head of the Bandung City Culture and Tourism Office, Adi Junjunan Mustafa, said the event provided developers with a space to showcase their work and learn together.

"Through forums like this, they can learn from each other and prepare games that will soon be released. Hopefully, the game developer ecosystem in Bandung will improve and its products will be able to compete on a global level," he said.

Bandung Game Developer Chairman Michael Martin said Bandung Game Demo Day helps developers get public feedback before launching a game.

"There are 32 demo games on display. We hope these games can continue to be developed until release, giving birth to successful studios, and adding new talent to Bandung," he said.

The event brings together government, communities, academics, and industry players to expand support for local game developers.

Direct feedback from the public provides developers with evaluation material to refine the game before entering the launch phase.

Bandung Game Demo Day also opens up opportunities for local developers to build studios, create jobs, and increase the competitiveness of the Indonesian gaming industry.
