PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government is presenting 2,288 job vacancies from 25 companies through the North Bandung Job Fair (28/8/2026).

The activity took place at Graha Sanusi, Padjadjaran University, Jalan Dipati Ukur, from 08.00 to 16.00 WIB.

Vacancies are open to job seekers from Junior High School (SMP), High School (SMA), Vocational School (SMK), Diploma, Bachelor's to Master's levels.

Rahmi Fauziah, Head of the Bandung City Manpower Office's First Job Introduction, said that the distribution of job fair locations makes access to job opportunities more equitable.

"That's good, so it's evenly distributed. So, job seekers need to be prepared," said Rahmi.

According to Rahmi, marketing or sales positions are one of the workforce needs that are currently quite widely available.

Job seekers can prepare a Curriculum Vitae (CV), competencies, supporting documents, and a professional attitude before participating in the recruitment process.

"Attitude comes first. That's a must. Because if we're prepared in every way, companies will see that this kid has great potential and is serious," he said.

Rahmi asked job seekers not to be discouraged if they do not meet all the qualifications set by the company.

"Don't be discouraged. With effort, seriousness, and enthusiasm, God willing, there will be blessings," said Rahmi Fauziah.

The First Functional Expert for Job Introduction at the Bandung City Manpower Office, Cahyadi Maulana, explained that each company has different educational and experience requirements.

"Regarding educational qualifications and experience, it all depends on the needs of each company. So, not all companies require the same qualifications," said Cahyadi.

Job opportunities are available for high school, vocational school, diploma and college graduates as long as they meet the requirements of the position offered.

"So, this opportunity isn't just for graduates. High school, vocational school, and diploma graduates can also seek opportunities that match the qualifications companies require," he said.

A number of companies from outside Bandung City also offer information technology (IT) positions specifically for Bandung City residents.

"In the IT sector, several companies outside Bandung are also offering opportunities to Bandung residents. So, job seekers can take advantage of this," said Cahyadi.

For new graduates or fresh graduates, the desire to learn, interest, and seriousness in participating in recruitment can be capital for entering the world of work.

"For fresh graduates who don't have any work experience, don't be discouraged. The important thing is to have the desire, interest, commitment, and a willingness to continue learning. That can be a potential that companies will recognize," said Cahyadi.

Job seekers are also asked to utilize the NEW BIMMA application to search for vacancies and submit applications online.

Cahyadi reminded job seekers to fill out their profiles completely and correctly so that companies obtain accurate competency information.

"So, please fill in the information completely and correctly when creating an account," said Cahyadi.

Job seekers are also asked to download the NEW BIMMA application before coming to make the barcode scanning process easier.

The profile must contain your address, email, telephone number, competencies, work experience, and other supporting information accurately.

Relevant training certificates and competency certifications can also be attached to enhance the value of the job seeker's profile.

"This includes work experience, which can also be uploaded there. Or, for example, if you don't have any work experience but have certificates, you can attach them according to the major you'll be pursuing at your company," Cahyadi explained.

Through an outreach approach, the Bandung City Government hopes to bring job opportunities closer to residents and make recruitment access more equitable.

The public is also encouraged to actively prepare competencies, complete documents, and take advantage of available job opportunities.
