PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Handling emergencies in Bandung City involves various regional apparatus organizations (OPD), volunteers and communities.

As a form of synergy in creating a collaborative Bandung City for the security and safety of its citizens, it is important to create harmonization of emergency services.

For this reason, the Communication and Informatics Service is holding a Coordination Meeting for Handling Emergency Management in the City of Bandung in 2024 at the Atlantic City Hotel.

The meeting involved stakeholders in handling emergencies in the city of Bandung, starting from government elements, cross-sectors and volunteers.

Head of the Bandung City Diskominfo Information Dissemination Division, Susi Darsiti, said that the synergy of emergency services in Bandung City must be improved to provide better service to the community.

Previously, on March 13 2023, a joint agreement was signed on handling emergency incidents.

Therefore, to increase synergy between emergency services in the city of Bandung, there needs to be intense coordination between emergency service providers.

"We want to have more synergy and closer coordination. There should be no miscoordination and misperception in the field. So it is important to increase synergy between emergency services in Bandung City," said Susi.

Meanwhile, Chair of the Working Team for Strengthening Public Information Openness, Yusuf Cahyadi, said that in dealing with disasters, Bandung Alert 112 encountered obstacles related to handling People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ), Social Welfare Service Requirements (PPKS), traffic accidents, as well as the discovery of bodies and use of ambulance.

For this reason, Yusuf hopes that with intensive coordination between various parties in handling emergency incidents, services will be better, more effective and efficient.

"This coordination is to increase commitment and proactiveness in improving the handling of emergency incidents. In order to create synergy and harmonization of emergency services in realizing a collaborative Bandung City for the security and safety of its citizens," he said.

In the same place, the Secretary of the Health Service, Soni Adam, pushed for regulations governing ambulances so that services would be well integrated in the city of Bandung. Ambulance services are becoming more effective and efficient.

"There must be regulations governing ambulances so that services will be well integrated in the city of Bandung. This can make response times better and more accurate," he said. (Diskominfo Bandung City/Fauziah)
