PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Flash floods hit the Puncak Bogor area, Sunday (2/3/2025), at around 20.30 WIB.

The Bogor Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that 423 people in Kampung Pensiunan, Tugu Selatan Village, Cisarua, were affected by the flood disaster due to the overflowing Ciliwung River.

Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of Bogor Regency BPBD, Adam Hamdani, said that the flash flood was caused by heavy rain with high intensity.

Adam said that the high intensity rain caused the Ciliwung River to overflow into the houses of residents in the surrounding area.

BPBD noted that flooding in Bogor Regency hit 10 villages and 8 sub-districts, including 257 houses. A total of 260 families and 988 people were affected. There were two families and 8 people displaced and one victim was reported missing

In Bogor City, floods hit eight villages and three sub-districts, eight houses were submerged.

The West Java BPBD has coordinated with the Bogor Regency and Bogor City BPBD to conduct an assessment, as well as with the village government and related parties to handle the disaster until today.

As of Monday afternoon, the flood had receded and the BPBD team was still searching for missing victims.

Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto also visited the scene and met several victims at the evacuation site, Monday (3/3) early morning, while also handing over aid and ensuring the availability of a public kitchen for the community.
