PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government continues to encourage community participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness through the Waste Bank program.

This program has now spread to various areas in Bandung City which are ready to serve residents.

This Waste Bank Program not only aims to reduce waste accumulation, but also provides economic benefits for residents who are customers.

For residents who are interested in becoming customers, the Bandung City Government provides information access via bit.ly/BankSampahKotaBandung-Okt23, which allows residents to easily find the location of a Waste Bank near them.

Head of the Bandung City Environmental Service, Dudy Prayudi, stated that the Waste Bank is a strategic step in reducing the volume of waste entering the Final Disposal Site (TPA).

"Bank Sampah is an effective solution to reduce the amount of waste in Bandung City. We hope that more residents will join in order to create a cleaner and healthier environment," he explained.

Residents who join this program can exchange non-organic waste such as plastic, paper, and metal for points that can be exchanged for household needs.

In addition, this program also serves as a means of education for the public to be more concerned about the importance of waste management and recycling.

Yuni, one of the members of the Waste Bank in Cisaranten Subdistrict, expressed the benefits she has felt since becoming a customer.

"By participating in the Waste Bank, I feel more responsible in managing household waste. In addition to helping the environment, I also get economic benefits," he said.

With this program, the Bandung City Government hopes that more residents will participate in reducing the volume of waste, so that a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable environment is created. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/Fauziah)
