PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - The Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Garut Regency held a Cascading Workshop on the Performance of Regional Apparatus in the Ballroom of the Harmoni Hotel, Garut Regency, Tuesday (28/11/2023).
The main resource person, Erik Andriyatma from the Organization Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of West Java Province, also provided insight.
Garut Regency Bappeda Secretary Agus Kurniawan explained that currently Garut Regency is in the process of preparing a Regional Development Plan (RPD) as a transitional Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) which is valid for the 2025-2026 period.
"This will of course intersect, friends, with the preparation of the strategic plan. So the regional government strategic plan for the 2025-2026 period. So, as a transition, it will be carried out by officials and regional heads in Garut Regency," he said.
In his presentation, Agus highlighted recent financial pressures, especially regarding the appointment of PPPK employees. Even though there has been a shift in funds amounting to IDR 500 billion, Agus is optimistic that public services and government functions will remain maintained.
Agus emphasized the need to formulate effective and efficient planning policies in overcoming financial problems. This workshop is the first step to detail the stages, explore issues, and set specific goals and performance measurements.
"Starting from where? Starting from us mapping, explaining from the start how we formulate the stages, starting to explore problems, issues, so the basis of the issue is how to determine what we are going to aim for," he said.
This one day activity was attended by representatives from Regional Apparatus (PD) and sub-districts related to formulation, planning and evaluation in their respective work units. (Diskominfo Garut/UPI)
