PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Bringing their Curriculum Vitae (CV) and hopes of finding employment, a number of job seekers took advantage of the 2026 Manpower Office Job Fair to meet directly with various companies. The event, held at Graha Sanusi Hardjadinata, Padjadjaran University, on Friday (August 28, 2026), featured approximately 30 company booths from various fields.

For recent graduates, attending a job fair isn't just about finding jobs. The opportunity to meet companies face-to-face provides a new experience, allowing them to explore the world of work and explore opportunities that align with their educational background and skills.

One of them was Delia Zahira, a fresh graduate from the Veteran National Development University (UPNVJ) in Jakarta. She said she was interested in attending because she had never attended a job fair in person before.

"Because I've never been to a job fair in person before, I wanted to experience what it's like to meet with companies and ask them about openings in person," said Delia.

According to Delia, meeting companies in person offers a different experience than seeking information through social media. She hopes this opportunity will improve her chances of finding a job.

Delia is currently seeking employment that aligns with her educational background in public health, specifically Occupational Safety and Health (K3). In addition to industrial work, she is also open to administrative and other positions.

"It just so happens that I've only seen a few companies, so I'm still looking for one that's worth trying," he said.

Fathin Mubiinan, a recent graduate of Winaya Mukti University in Bandung, had a similar experience. The Environmental Engineering graduate used the job fair to find companies that offered jobs that matched his educational background.

"I saw a lot of companies I'd never met before. You can't ask questions directly on social media, but here you can," said Fathin.

For Fathin, the opportunity to ask questions directly is one of the things that makes job fairs help job seekers in determining their career choices.

Meanwhile, Fazalny Robbi, a fresh graduate from the Indonesian Education University in Bandung, said she came because she wanted to get a job. She learned about the job fair through information from the Manpower Office.

"What interests me is that I am currently unemployed, and I also want to start working soon," he said.

Fazalny admits to being open to various career fields when searching for work. The sheer number of companies available gives him a number of options to explore available career opportunities.

"I'm still open to all job opportunities for the companies I'm targeting. I'm just trying it out because there are quite a few companies at this job fair. So, I still have plenty of options," he said.

For job seekers, the presence of various companies in one location makes it easier to find information and interact directly with the company.

This opportunity also provides experience for fresh graduates to be more confident in introducing themselves and understanding the recruitment process.

These experiences demonstrate that the 2026 Disnaker Job Fair is not only a meeting place for job seekers and companies, but also a space for fresh graduates to take their first steps into the professional world.

By bringing job seekers and companies together directly, job fairs are expected to open up wider access to information and job opportunities.
