PORTALJABAR, CIAMIS REGENCY - Ciamis Regent Herdiat Sunarya released the Ciamis Scout contingent to participate in the 2026 XII National Jamboree (Jamnas) in Cibubur.

The send-off took place at the Ciamis Regency Family Empowerment and Welfare Hall, Tuesday (11/8/2026) evening, marked by the wearing of contingent jackets.

Herdiat said that Jamnas is a learning space for the younger generation to develop character, skills, independence, and national insight.

"The National Jamboree is more than just a large gathering of Scouts from across the country. It's more than that, it's a valuable learning space for the younger generation to forge character, develop skills, broaden horizons, build independence, and strengthen their love for their country and the spirit of brotherhood," said Herdiat.

According to Herdiat, direct experience is needed to shape discipline, responsibility, leadership, cooperation, care, and resilience in the younger generation.

These values are expected to form a generation that is intellectually intelligent, strong in character, mature in attitude, and noble in personality.

Herdiat reminded the contingent to carry the responsibility of maintaining the good name of Ciamis Regency while participating in the national activity.

"My proud children, the Scouts of Ciamis Regency, today you are not just going to participate in a national event. You are bringing honor to Ciamis Regency," he emphasized.

He asked the contingent members to demonstrate that Ciamis Scouts are polite, disciplined, resilient in facing challenges, and capable of achieving success.

"You must show that Ciamis Scouts are Scouts who are polite in their attitudes, disciplined in their actions, resilient in facing challenges, and superior in their achievements," he said.

Herdiat hopes that participants will take home experience, insight, brotherhood, and a stronger character after attending Jamnas XII.

"I want you to return from Jamnas XII not only with experiences, not only with stories, and not only with awards for achievements, but more importantly, you return with stronger characters, broader insights, closer brotherhood, and a greater love for the nation and state," he said.

He also asked participants to make every process, including shortcomings and failures, an experience to continue to grow.

"The most important thing is how we remain brave in taking steps, remain humble when we succeed, and remain steadfast when we face failure," he said.

The Ciamis Regency Government supports the departure of the contingent so that all participants can participate in the series of activities with enthusiasm and maintain the good name of the region.

"May Allah SWT always provide health, safety, smoothness, and success to the entire Ciamis Regency contingent until they return to Tanah Galuh with pride and valuable experience," concluded Herdiat.
