
PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - In preparation for the 2024 General Election (Pemilu), the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Garut Regency has opened registration for Polling Place Supervisors (PTPS) for all sub-districts in Garut Regency, Garut. A total of 8,000 polling station supervisors will be recruited.
This registration will take place from 2 to 6 January 2024 and will be carried out at the Panwaslu Secretariat in each sub-district.
This registration is the first step in ensuring the smoothness and integrity of the election process in Garut Regency. Garut Regency Bawaslu invites all elements of society who meet the requirements to actively participate in maintaining democracy in Indonesia through their role as TPS supervisors.
Imam Sanusi, Coordinator of the Human Resources and Organization Division (SDMO) of Garut Regency Bawaslu, Wednesday (27/12/2023), stated that this registration follows the Decision of the Chair of Bawaslu Number 504/KP.01/K1/12/2023. This decision regulates technical instructions for the formation and interim replacement of polling station supervisors in the 2024 elections.
Candidates for TPS supervisors must meet several requirements, including being Indonesian citizens (WNI), at least 21 years old, loyal to Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Republic of Indonesia, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and the ideals of the Proclamation of 17 August 1945. In addition, candidates must domiciled in a sub-district within the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), proven by a Resident Identity Card (KTP), have a minimum education of high school or equivalent, and have resigned from political party membership at least 5 years before registering as a PTPS candidate.
