
PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BEKASI - The Bekasi Regency National Zakat Amil Agency (Baznas) distributed aid to 161 mustahik people in the fi sabilillah category in the Bekasi Regency Baznas Office Hall, Central Cikarang Regional Government Complex, Sunday (24/3/2024).
In this activity, the mustahik fi sabilillah each received financial assistance of Rp. 500,000 through the Bekasi Taqwa program.
Acting The Regent of Bekasi Regency, Dani Ramdan, said that the fi sabilillah category is mustahik who rarely receive zakat, usually zakat is only given to the needy and poor categories.
The giving of zakat fi sabilillah this time is intended for those who carry out missionary duties in the community and Islamic organizations in 23 sub-districts in Bekasi Regency.
Several organizations that receive Baznas assistance are Nahdlatul Ulama, Muhammadiyah, Islamic Association (Persis), Indonesian Islamic Da'wah Institute (LDII), and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI).
"You could really say that they have no salary, no transport, everything is done with the sincere intention of wanting to fight in the way of Allah," he said.
Therefore, said Dani, Baznas Bekasi Regency pays attention to distributing zakat to them.
"So in this case the Bekasi Regency Baznas allocates zakat for asnaf fi sabilillah," he explained.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Baznas Bekasi Regency Samsul Bahri explained that Baznas distributed zakat to 161 people fi sabilillah through NU administrators spread across 115 villages in 23 sub-districts. The zakat quota in 2024 is 500 people.
"Yes, these 161 people were transferred to the structural NU organization through MWC and Ranting, the remaining quota was distributed through the MUI, Muhammadiyah, Persis, LDII, and residents of non-structural organizations. For example, NU residents who are not administrators of the organization," he said.
Apart from that, added Dani, mosque and prayer room marbots have also received assistance from the Bekasi Regency Baznas.
"So it is fi sabilillah that we will distribute it there," he concluded.
