PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. WEST BANDUNG - The West Java Provincial Social Service distributed aid worth a total of IDR 186,632,750 to residents affected by the land movement disaster in Cibedug Village, Rongga District, West Bandung Regency, Saturday (2/3/2024).

Assistance was distributed directly by Plt. Head of West Java Social Services Andrie Kustria Wardhana accompanied by Head of Social Protection and Security Enok Komariah.

On this occasion, the team from the West Java Social Service also monitored the activities of public kitchens and refugee camps to ensure that refugees were facilitated in meeting their basic needs.

"This assistance comes from the West Java APBD worth IDR 42,644,000 and from the APBN worth IDR 101,735,000," explained Enok.

Enok continued, the logistical assistance from the APBD that was distributed was in the form of food ingredients, such as instant noodles, mineral water, sardines, corned beef, instant liwet, shredded meat, and others.

Meanwhile, the aid distributed from the APBN was in the form of food, clothing, mattresses, kidsware, family kits, kitchen tools, roll-up tents, and 500 kg of rice (worth Rp. 5,271,500).

A total of 47 families/160 people fled to the Islamic Center following the land movement in Cibedug Village. The land movement in the village occurred on February 18 and 29.

This disaster caused the land to sink 5 meters and several buildings were damaged. It was recorded that 3 houses were heavily damaged, 8 houses were slightly damaged, 36 houses were threatened, and 1 elementary school was heavily damaged.

Head of the Social Protection and Security Division of the West Bandung Regency Social Service, Rizal Carda Wir, appreciated the assistance provided.

"Hopefully the assistance provided can be of benefit to communities affected by the disaster," said Rizal.
