PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Registration for the selection of candidates for members of the West Java Provincial Information Commission for 2024-2028 for the 2024-2028 term of office entered the final day on Wednesday (17/7/2024) at 23.59 WIB. The selection registration period is open from 4-17 July 2024 .

Chair of the West Java Information Commission Selection Team for the 2024-2028 Term of Office A. Alamsyah Saragih reminded the public to take advantage of the opportunities during the registration time that is still available.

"Wednesday is the last day to register for the Selection of Candidates for Members of the West Java Province Information Commission for the 2024-2028 term. "It is hoped that the public can take advantage of this opportunity to contribute directly to information transparency in West Java," said Alamsyah.

According to him, this selection process is an opportunity for individuals who are highly dedicated to advancing the principles of openness and accountability in the public sphere.

Alamsyah also explained that this selection was an implementation of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Openness of Public Information. It is hoped that this selection can attract the best talents as potential members of the West Java Information Commission.

The provincial-level Information Commission has the task of receiving, examining and deciding public information disputes in the regions through mediation and/or non-litigation adjudication, and is responsible to the governor and submits reports regarding the implementation of its functions, duties and authority to the Regional People's Representative Council.

A number of general requirements in the process for prospective members of the West Java Information Commission, including having experience in public body activities, being at least 35 years old, not being a member or administrator of a political party in the last two years, and obtaining a written recommendation from two public figures or organization/institution leadership.
