PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting (Pj.) Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin attended the Plenary Meeting of the West Java Provincial DPRD with the agenda of the Announcement of the Determination of the Elected Candidate Pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of West Java as a result of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections at the West Java DPRD Building, Bandung City, Friday (10/1/2025) evening WIB.

Met after the plenary meeting, Bey said that after the announcement and determination, the DPRD will then propose to the President of the Republic of Indonesia through the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) for the inauguration of Dedi Mulyadi and Erwan Setiawan as the definitive Governor and Deputy Governor of West Java.

The inauguration time, said Bey, is still awaiting direction from the central government.

"Later it will be immediately processed by the DPRD to the President of the Republic of Indonesia through the Minister of Home Affairs for further inauguration," said Bey.

Meanwhile, in a plenary meeting, the Chairman of the West Java DPRD, Buky Wibawa, said that the announcement of the determination of the elected pair of candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of West Java was carried out based on a letter from the Chairman of the West Java General Election Commission (KPU).

"In the letter from the West Java KPU, the decision on the results of the West Java Pilkada regarding the determination of the elected candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of West Java Province in 2024 has been attached, which determines Dedi Mulyadi-Erwan Setiawan as the elected pair of Governor and Deputy Governor of West Java Province 2025-2030 in the 2024 Governor and Deputy Governor election," said Buky.

"The DPRD announced the results of the West Java Provincial KPU's decision in the Plenary Meeting for the Announcement of the Determination of the elected candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of West Java before being submitted to the President through the Minister of Home Affairs," he added.
