PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor Bey Machmudin invited all members of the West Java DPRD for the 2024 - 2029 period to synergize with the West Java Provincial Government in development for the welfare of the community.

A total of 120 members of the West Java DPRD resulting from the legislative elections on February 14, 2024 were sworn in and inaugurated at the Merdeka Building, Jalan Asia Afrika, Bandung City, Monday ( 2/9/2024 ).

There was something unique because before the inauguration ceremony, the Acting Governor together with new members of the DPRD and the old ranks of the DPRD (2019 - 2024 period) conducted a "historical walk" from the Savoy Homann Hotel to the Merdeka Building.

After the inauguration, Bey congratulated the 120 new legislators who will voice the people's aspirations in the supervisory, budgeting and legislative functions.

"On behalf of the West Java Provincial Government, I congratulate you on your inauguration as members of the West Java Provincial DPRD for the 2024-2029 term. Hopefully we will continue to work together to develop West Java," said Bey Machmudin.

Bey hopes that good synergy between the executive and legislative branches will lead West Java to become the leading province in Indonesia.

Including in terms of sports, currently West Java athletes are fighting to be at the forefront in PON XXI/Aceh - North Sumatra.

Bey invited all legislators to support the athletes' struggle by providing motivation and prayers, so that West Java can win a 'hattrick' of overall championships.

"I ask the elected ladies and gentlemen to pray for and support the athletes so that West Java can achieve a PON hattrick," concluded Bey.

To the members of the West Java DPRD for the 2019-2024 period who have retired, Bey expressed his gratitude for their dedication, achievements and performance in working hand in hand with the West Java Provincial Government.

During the inauguration, Bey also read out the remarks of the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian.
The Minister of Home Affairs said that the public's expectations of DPRD members are very high and will certainly receive a lot of attention. This is a challenge that must be used as encouragement in working to carry out the mandate of the people that has been given.

Therefore, all legislators must prepare their mentality and basic competencies. The government, said the Minister of Home Affairs, hopes that all DPRD members can carry out their duties as well as possible.
