PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY -
Acting Governor Bey Machmudin invited the West Java Indonesian Student Association (HMI) to continue to work together in development.

According to him, the input and criticism that is often conveyed to the Provincial Government in various ways such as discussions, studies, hearings, including demonstrations, is a form of real support for HMI in development.

"I met with the HMI management and received criticism, we were happy because the criticism conveyed was correct (constructive)," said Bey Machmudin after the Inauguration of the West Java HMI Coordinating Board and HMI Corps - Wati Management for the period 2024 - 2026, at Gedung Sate, Kota Bandung, Saturday (27/7/2024).

Bey believes that synergy between the Provincial Government and various stakeholders, including school and university students, needs to be fostered to create inclusive and sustainable development.

"We are waiting for criticism and other solutions to make West Java better," said Bey.

The inauguration of the management of the West Java HMI Coordinating Body and Corps - Wati HMI, was also filled with discussions with the theme 'Strengthening HMI Synergy in the Development of West Java Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045'.

Bey reminded that the inauguration of administrators should not only be ceremonial but a big responsibility to the nation and state, in the position of students as agents of change.

"A huge trust and responsibility that must be carried out with full dedication and integrity," said Bey.

Bey considers HMI to be an open and democratic student association. With a widely known network, Bey believes that anyone who becomes an HMI activist will have a good career in any field.

"It cannot be denied that HMI is extraordinary," he concluded.
