PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin appreciated the XII Nation's Model Student Jamboree which was held by the Ma'arif Institute for Culture and Humanity in Bandung City and its surroundings which took place 26-30 December 2023.
This year's Nation's Model Student Jamboree has the theme 'Strengthening the Role of Students in Caring for Diversity' which fits perfectly with the momentum to end 2023 sweetly and start 2024 solidly.
"I feel happy that my friends can learn to adapt quickly. I said sampurasun and immediately answered rampes," said Bey Machmudin opening the meeting with selected students in the West Hall of Gedung Sate Bandung, Wednesday (27/12/2023).
The Acting Governor hopes that the jamboree held in West Java can bring valuable experience to students. Moreover, students can get to know other jamboree participants from different backgrounds and regions, thereby enriching their knowledge.
"Maybe people from Aceh who have never been to Maluku can exchange stories like that. This is what can enrich us," he said.
"Ladies and gentlemen, happy participating in the Jamboree, make the best use of your time, exchange experiences and be sure that what you do today will definitely be useful for the future," said Bey Machmudin.
Being selected as a Jamboree participant is already good capital for students. Bey also advised the younger generation of jamboree participants to study well in order to achieve their goals.
Bey said, you must not forget to continue to be filial to your parents. "Hopefully the activities will run smoothly and safely until you return to your respective places of origin. Of course there will also be sweet memories from the jamboree in Bandung. Hopefully you will be more successful in the future and stay healthy," said Bey.
Ma'arif Institute Executive Director Abdul Rohim Gozali explained that there were 104 students selected to take part in this activity from all over Indonesia from 24 provinces in Indonesia.
"From Sorong to Aceh, there were representatives from all the big islands. Some of them had already stayed in Lembang for two nights. We thank you very much for the friendly welcome, we hope that young people from all over Indonesia can get motivation from the (Acting) Governor," said Abdul Rohim Gozali.
Gozali also said that this year's jamboree, apart from being a gathering event, was also a means to learn together regarding diversity and nationality.
"We, together with other components of the nation, together with young people, are trying to continue to maintain this diversity with various kinds of activities with the Nation's Model Jamboree, we choose from the best schools, this year we are holding it in Bandung," he said.
"They are here hoping to bring something useful back to their respective provinces to share knowledge with each other," he concluded.
