
PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. WEST BANDUNG - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin opened the Business Review Semester II - 2023 and the 2024 Executive Workshop of PT. West Java and Banten Regional Development Bank Tbk (bank bjb) at the Mason Pine Hotel, West Bandung Regency, Monday (15/1/2024).
Bey appreciated the performance of bank bjb which has been committed to encouraging economic growth in the MSME sector thereby providing financial literacy learning among the community.
"Bank bjb has been proven to be a strong pillar in supporting the growth of the economic sector, both in terms of business financing, support for the MSME sector and increasing financial literacy in society," added Bey.
For this reason, he said that the 2023 Semester II Business Review activities provided a clear reflection on the direction of the economy in the past and provided a strong view for moving forward.
"In this context, it is important for all of us to respond to economic dynamics that continue to change rapidly and ensure that the strategic steps taken have a positive impact on the entire people of West Java," he said.
Not to forget, Bey also emphasized that bank bjb can encourage inclusiveness in the MSME sector because according to him, MSME players have a significant role.
Meanwhile, Bank BJB President Director Yuddy Renaldi said that the Business Review activities for Semester II - 2023 and the 2024 Executive Workshop had the theme "Performance and Sustainability".
"Good performance that can be maintained sustainably is certainly the hope of all corporate entities. Recording good performance in a financial year is an achievement, but maintaining business continuity will be a legacy," said Yuddy.
In his 2023 business review , Yuddy expressed optimism regarding banking performance after COVID-19.
Credit is growing, but it turns out that along the way the challenge of rising interest rates continues to put pressure on banking profitability due to the increasing cost of funds.
"Given these conditions, of course whoever can adapt will survive by managing productivity and efficiency in various operational activities," he said.
