PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin accompanied the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka on a working visit to Bogor Regency. The Vice President reviewed disaster simulations and free nutritious meal programs for students of Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) 1 and 2, Wednesday ( 11/12/2024 ).

Vice President Gibran explained that the purpose of this visit was to ensure that the students received disaster education as well as adequate nutritional intake.

"We see the process of eating nutritious food three times a day here because in these months, especially in West Java, there are many disaster-prone events. Today is also to provide education about disasters to the students," said the Vice President when met after the inspection.

Not only Bey Machmudin, the Vice President was also accompanied by former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, who has now been appointed by President Prabowo Subianto as the President's Special Advisor for Hajj Affairs, and accompanied by Acting Bogor Regent Bachril Bakri.

The Vice President emphasized the importance of awareness among students in facing disasters such as earthquakes and fires.

"They must know what to do when a disaster occurs so that no one panics," he said.

In the free nutritious meal program, the menu served includes chicken, tofu, eggs, vegetables, bananas, and milk at a cost of Rp11,000 per package. The Vice President also appreciated the enthusiasm of students for this program.

"Today is extraordinary. The free nutritious meal program will continue to be monitored, especially in Islamic boarding schools. This is a routine activity three times a day to ensure that the nutritional needs of students are met," he said.
