PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin attended the End of Year Study with Ustaz Adi Hidayat at Bale Asri Pusdai, Bandung City, Tuesday (12/31/2024) evening.

The presence of Ustaz Adi Hidayat and the sheikhs from the Middle East at the end-of-year study event, according to Bey Machmudin, was a blessing in itself in welcoming the beginning of 2025.

"Through the knowledge and wisdom conveyed, we are expected to be able to strengthen our faith and broaden our insight into Islam which is inclusive and rahmatan lil-'alamin," said Bey.

Bey believes that the activity attended by thousands of people is a positive thing to welcome 2025 in a better direction.

"I believe that this study will be an inspiration and motivation for all of us to continue to improve ourselves and strengthen our commitment to practicing religious teachings correctly and moderately," he said.

"Let us make this opportunity to increase knowledge, strengthen friendship, and strengthen Islamic brotherhood," added Bey.

Not to forget, in his speech, Bey expressed the concept of religious moderation that can be implemented to always maintain diversity in society.

"The concept of religious moderation is not only about balance in practicing religious teachings, but also about building an attitude of tolerance, mutual respect and maintaining harmony amidst the diversity of our society," he said.

He also revealed that religious moderation is the foundation for creating peace and unity which are the main capital in building a strong and sovereign nation.

"With the spirit of moderation, we can maintain unity and togetherness in the diversity of tribes, cultures, and religions in Indonesia, especially in West Java, which is known as a province with high diversity," concluded Bey.
