PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin thanked Major General TNI Erwin Djatniko who always supported various development programs in West Java during his tenure as Pangdam III/Siliwangi.

Bey conveyed this when welcoming Commander III/Siliwangi at Graha Tirta Siliwangi, Bandung City, Saturday ( 9/3/2024 ) evening.

"Thank you to Maj. Gen. TNI Erwin Djatniko who has accompanied us, we wish him success in our new and trustworthy place," said Bey.

The leadership baton of Pangdam III/Siliwangi has been transferred from Major General TNI Erwin Djatniko to Major General TNI Mohammad Fadjar. The appointment of Major General TNI Mohammad Fadjar as Pangdam III/Siliwangi is stated in the Decree of the TNI Commander Number Kep/216/II/2024 dated 21 February 2024. The handover of position (Sertijab) of Pangdam III/Siliwangi together with other high-ranking TNI AD officers was led directly by the TNI Chief of Staff. Maruli Simanjuntak at the Nasution Building, Army Headquarters on Friday ( 8/3/2024 ).

In the welcoming ceremony, Bey conveyed his impressions to Major General Erwin Djatniko during his six months leading Kodam III/Siliwangi. According to Bey, Erwin has a humorous nature. However, behind his humorous nature, Erwin is a genius and intelligent figure.

"My impression of Mr Erwin is that he is humorous but behind that he is a smart and genius figure," he said.

After serving as Pangdam III/Siliwangi since August 2023, Erwin now occupies a new position, namely as Inspector General of the Army (Irjenad).

Meanwhile, the new Pangdam III/Siliwangi, Major General TNI Mohammad Fadjar, was previously the Director General of Pothan at the Ministry of Defense. This 1993 Akmil graduate apparently went to the same school as Bey Machmudin, namely at SMA Negeri 3 Bandung.

"Welcome to Major General TNI Mohammad Fadjar, we are in the same high school but I am 2 years older than his class at SMA Negeri 3 Bandung," said Bey.

Bey is optimistic that, under the command of Major General TNI Mohammad Fadjar, Kodam III/Siliwangi will continue to make achievements and always collaborate with the West Java Provincial Government in development.

"We will continue to collaborate in development in West Java," he said.
