PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting (Acting) Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin stated that his party respects the ongoing legal process regarding the designation of a bus driver as a suspect in an accident that occurred in Subang Regency some time ago.

"We respect the legal process, and of course there must be legal clarity regarding violations like this," said Bey in Bandung City, Thursday (16/5/2024).

Bey said that the West Java Provincial Government is currently in a professional position in handling the accident.

"We are concentrating more on evaluations related to the study tour and also the safety or healing of the victims. We will focus on that," said Bey.

Previously, Bey had issued Circular Number: 64/PK.01/KESRA concerning Study Tours in Education Units. The SE contains an appeal to tighten permits for study tour activities carried out by educational units in their respective regions. The SE that has been published is still an advisory and will continue to be reviewed.

The West Java Provincial Government through the West Java Transportation Service will also coordinate with the West Java Regional Police to prohibit buses that do not have a proper KIR test, reckless drivers and those who do not have a driver's license from operating again.
