
PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin inaugurated Agus Mulyadi as Acting Mayor of Cirebon in the West Hall of Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Wednesday (13/12/23).
Previously, Agus Mulyadi served as Regional Secretary of Cirebon City. Agus replaces Eti Herawaty whose term of office ends on December 12 2023.
Agus will act until the mayor of Cirebon with definitive results of the 2024 election is inaugurated.
The inauguration of Agus Mulyadi as Acting Mayor of Cirebon is based on the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 100.2.1.3 - 6572 of 2023.
Bey Machmudin hopes that Agus Mulyadi can carry out his duties well, with full transparency and maintain accountability.
Then be able to establish communication and partnerships with all stakeholders, Forkopimda ranks, community leaders as well as all elements of regional apparatus, so that regional development and government tasks can continue to run optimally.
"I also want to express my thanks and highest appreciation to the previous Mayor of Cirebon, Mrs. Eti Herawaty, for her dedication to leading the City of Cirebon," said Bey Machmudin.
There were several messages that Bey conveyed to Agus after taking office. First, through West Java Anteng to be able to maintain the neutrality of ASN, security and comfort of the community during the election process.
"We hope that Mr Agus can carry out his duties well. "Carrying out elections smoothly, safely and fairly," said Bey.
Then Bey also reminded that as we enter the rainy season we must increase our vigilance. West Java, said Bey, is a province prone to landslides and extreme weather.
Finally, with the increase in COVID-19 cases again, Bey hopes that the public will not panic too much. Maintain health protocols such as using masks and increasing the immunity of health workers with vaccines.
After Cirebon City, there are still several cities and districts whose regional heads will be appointed, such as Garut, Subang, Bogor City, Bogor Regency.
"Even though Bogor City is still waiting for what the MK (Constitutional Court) will say, there are several regions that have submitted proposals to the MK, and are continuing. The proposals are safe, for this year and next year there will be two," concluded Bey.
