PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin on behalf of the President of the Republic of Indonesia inaugurated Acting Regent of Subang Imran and Acting Regent of Majalengka Dedi Supandi in the West Hall of Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Tuesday (19/12/2023).

Subang Regent Ruhimat's term of office for the 2018-2023 period has ended, now Subang will be led by Acting Regent of Subang Imran for the next year.

Meanwhile, Dedi Supandi has become Acting Regent of Majalengka, replacing Karna Sobahi, whose term of office has also ended.

This inauguration is based on Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 100.2.1.3-6591 of 2023 and No. 100.2.1.3-6592 of 2023 concerning the appointment of Acting Regent of Subang and Acting Regent of Majalengka.

Met after being inaugurated and taking the oath of office, Bey Machmudin then left a number of messages to the two acting regents.

Primarily through West Java Anteng to be able to maintain regional conduciveness in facing the 2024 election agenda. Both were also asked to maintain the neutrality of the authorities.

"West Java Province has declared West Java Anteng (Safe, Neutral and Calm). For this reason, the acting principal who was appointed today is to maintain the neutrality of ASN and also the TNI/Polri," he said.

He also asked the appointed acting regent to ensure security towards the end of the year and at the same time that prices of basic commodities do not rise high and remain under control.

"The other thing is, approaching Christmas and New Year so that the situation is safe and conducive, and also to ensure that prices of basic necessities do not become high," he appealed.

Apart from that, Bey reminded Imran and Dedi Supandi to continue to be aware of the potential risk of floods and landslides because West Java is currently entering the rainy season.

"West Java is one of the provinces that is vulnerable to disasters caused by extreme rain, so it is important to maintain cooperation and collaboration with TNI/Polri stakeholders in anticipating and handling post-disaster," said Bey.
