PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. MAJALENGKA - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin released the departure of Hajj pilgrims from Subang Regency from Kertajati Embarkation at Kertajati International Airport (BIJB), Majalengka Regency, Sunday ( 12/5/2024 ).

The Subang Kloter congregation numbering 440 people departed at 09.30 WIB for Medina, Saudi Arabia.

The Subang flight crew is part of important history because the first from West Java departed from the Kertajati Embarkation. Provincially, the Subang Cluster is the third of a total of 72 West Java clusters.

"Thank God, today we released the first batch from Kertajati and this is the third from West Java," said Bey Machmudin.

From the Kertajati Embarkation, 30 groups are planned to depart, the rest will be at the Jakarta - Bekasi Embarkation. Before Subang, Bey sent off the first congregation from West Java, namely the Bekasi and Garut groups, from the Jakarta - Bekasi Embarkation, Saturday ( 11/5/2024 ) evening.

"We pray together that the congregation will be given smoothness in worship and reach their destination safely," said Bey.

Apart from that, Bey also confirmed that so far there have been no problems whatsoever with Hajj flight services from Kertajati Airport.

"Everything is good, today's departure from Kertajati is quite good, the service from the staff is also friendly and good," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Ministry of Religion Ali Ramdani advised the congregation to maintain their health, especially when the estimated temperature in Saudi Arabia is 40 - 46 degrees Celsius.

"We hope that the congregation can organize their bodies, take care of their bodies and be fair to their bodies so that at the peak of the Hajj they can be in a fit condition," said Ali.

The theme of this year's Hajj, the Ministry of Religion has declared an Elderly Friendly Hajj because the majority of pilgrims are currently in the elderly category.

"We hope that we will pray for each other, especially for the Hajj pilgrims, to pray for the Indonesian nation, our country, to always be in a state of harmony, harmony and prosperity," he said.

Apart from that, the pilgrims who are scheduled to fly via BIJB Kertajati are planned to be divided into two sessions. Flights from 12-23 May 2024 for pilgrims will land in Medina. Meanwhile, those flying from May 23 to June 10 will land in Jeddah.
