PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin received the Audit Result Report (LHP) from the Republic of Indonesia's BPK regarding the Performance of APBD Management and Compliance with the Management of Service and Capital Expenditures for the 2024 Fiscal Year.

Bey received the BPK LHP directly from the Head of the West Java Province Audit Board (BPK) Representative Office, Widhi Widayat, at the West Java BPK Representative Office, Friday (10/1/2025).

Also attending the event were the elected Governor of West Java, the Chairman of the West Java DPRD, 15 regional heads in West Java, and 15 Regency/City DPRD Chairmen in West Java.

In his remarks, the Acting Governor said that the submission of the LHP by the BPK was an important moment to evaluate the extent to which governance had been carried out.

He also said that the follow-up to the LHP was a reflection of the West Java Provincial Government's commitment to implementing the principles of transparency, accountability, and efficiency of government administration.

"The audit by the BPK is not only a control tool, but also an instrument that helps us improve performance and compliance with applicable regulations," said Bey Machmudin.

The BPK audit covers the management of the 2023 fiscal year APBD to the first semester of 2024.

Then the service expenditure involving 15 regional apparatuses. Then the capital expenditure of roads, irrigation, and networks (JIJ) involving the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning and the Department of Water Resources.

According to Bey, the audit aims to assess whether budget management has fully supported national development, as well as to ensure that spending is in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.

"This Audit Result Report is a very valuable input. We realize that there is still room for improvement," he said.

The West Java Provincial Government, said Bey, is committed to immediately following up on all recommendations given by the BPK.

Therefore, several steps have been and will be taken, including written instructions to the relevant regional apparatus which will be delivered in the third week of January 2025.

Then the determination of the Draft APBD Evaluation Team through the Governor's Decree which will be completed by the first week of February 2025. Then the return to the regional treasury which will be accelerated according to the time limit of 60 calendar days after the LHP is received.

"We also want to appreciate the proactive steps of regional apparatuses that have made deposits to the regional treasury before the LHP was issued. This shows a collective awareness to maintain the integrity of regional financial management," said Bey Machmudin.

"We are committed to continuing to improve governance, prioritizing transparency, and ensuring that every rupiah from the APBD provides real benefits to the people of West Java," he added.

Bey hopes that this report will serve as an important reminder that accountability is not just a formal obligation, but a moral responsibility to ensure that public trust is maintained.

"Hopefully the results of this audit will be a momentum for us to improve what is lacking and maintain what is already good. I would like to thank the BPK for the synergy that has been established so far, and to all regional apparatuses who have worked hard," he said.
