PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin ensured that security operations during Christmas and New Year were carried out optimally to provide a sense of security, comfort, and peace for the community.

This was stated by Bey Machmudin during the Cross-Sectoral Coordination Meeting for Operation Lilin Lodaya 2024 in the Framework of Preparation for the Implementation of Security for Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025, at the West Java Regional Police Office, Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Bandung City, Tuesday (17/12/2024).

According to Bey, coordination between various stakeholders from the Police, TNI, Satpol PP, Organda, to Linmas is very important in ensuring that the public feels safe, both during Christmas worship and the Christmas and New Year holidays.

"This activity is an important momentum in ensuring that the public can celebrate two major celebrations with a sense of security, comfort, and peace. Optimal security will be a real manifestation of our collaboration in providing the best service to the public," he said.

Therefore, Bey assessed that cross-sectoral synergy is very necessary to anticipate various potential problems, ranging from crime, natural disasters, to accidents and traffic jams.

"Christmas and New Year celebrations are always a critical point due to the high intensity of community activities, both in places of worship, shopping centers, tourist attractions, and traffic flow," he said.

During Operation Candle Lodaya 2024, Bey hopes that all parties will work together. Operation Candle Lodaya is a shared responsibility, so all related agencies are urged to maximize their roles and functions, communicate well, and continue to collaborate.

"I believe that with solid cooperation, we can provide a sense of security and comfort for the community," concluded Bey.
