PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin stated that the construction of the Nurtanio flyover is targeted to be completed by the end of May 2025.
"We are reviewing the construction of the Nurtanio flyover, the investment value is IDR 63 billion and is targeted to be completed by the end of May 2025," said Bey Machmudin when met after reviewing the location of the Nurtanio flyover in Bandung City, Monday (16/12/2024).
Regarding land acquisition which had been an obstacle in the construction, Bey said that this had been resolved so that the focus was continued in building construction.
"By the end of this year, everything (land acquisition) will be completed, so all that remains is for construction to continue," he said.
"The progress has reached 25 percent, the only obstacle is land acquisition because it started parallel with construction," he added.
Bey also apologized to the public who were affected by the traffic jam every time they passed the railroad crossing in the Andir District area.
"If we engineer it, it will be even more congested, for example in the direction of the north or the direction of the south. So it is like this, I apologize," said Bey.
Meanwhile, the Head of the DKI Jakarta - West Java National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) Sjofva Rosliansjah ensured that the construction of the Nurtanio flyover would be completed according to target at the end of May 2025.
This can be realized if the weather also supports the development of building construction materials.
"We promised at the end of May, hopefully if the weather is good, it's the rainy season," said Sjofva.
He also apologized to the public whose activities were disrupted by the construction of the Nurtanio flyover which often causes traffic jams.
"We have worked together with the police. So we apologize if this disrupts public activities, it is indeed more congested than usual," he said.
"Before the work (construction of the Nurtanio flyover) was carried out, there were already traffic jams here, hopefully in the future it will be better," said Sjofva.
The Nurtanio Flyover is 550 meters long, connecting Jalan Abdurahman Saleh – Jalan Garuda, which will later cross the railroad crossing.
The construction of the Nurtanio flyover was carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the DKI Jakarta – West Java BBPJN.
