PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin opened the West Java Festival (WJF) 2024 on Jl. Diponegoro, Bandung City, Friday (8/23/2024). WJF 2024 is the peak of the commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of West Java Province which will last for three days, from Friday (8/23/2024) to Sunday (8/25/2024).

Bey said that WJF 2024 is not only an event to promote MSME products, but also a forum for collaboration between industry, communities, and job seekers, especially in creative fields such as animation and content creators. Through this festival, it is hoped that the people of West Java can be inspired to continue to innovate and develop their businesses.

"We want the public to truly feel the benefits of these MSMEs and make it an unforgettable experience. For those looking for work, hopefully there will be MSMEs that inspire them to become entrepreneurs," said Bey after opening WJF 2024.

"MSMEs also all start from small, not all of them immediately become big. We hope that through this festival, they can share experiences and knowledge about how they can grow. So, not only buying products, but also understanding the process of developing their businesses," he added.

There are many interesting activities in WJF 2024, ranging from UMKM bazaars, arts and culture festivals, culinary festivals, workshops, to seminars.

In addition, WJF 2024 will be enlivened by a music concert from top stars, such as Nidji, Wali, Kuburan, Yovie & Nuno, Project Pop, and Tiara Andini, who will perform at GOR Saparua, Bandung City, Sunday (8/25/2024). The concert can be watched for free by ordering tickets through the Sapawarga application.

Bey said that the West Java Provincial Government is targeting public visits to the 2024 WJF event to reach 65,000 people.
