PORTALJABAR, MAJALENGKA REGENCY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin inaugurated the Public Service Mall (MPP) of Majalengka Regency, Wednesday (18/12/2024).

Bey appreciated the presence of the MPP because it was proof of the seriousness of the Majalangka Regency Government in bringing public services closer to the people of West Java who live in Majalengka.

Moreover, with mall branding, it is hoped that the public will be more familiar with coming to access public services to fulfill their rights as citizens.

"This means that the Majalengka Regency Government is required to provide good service, a neat and comfortable place. Don't be (fixated on) bureaucracy," said Bey Machmudin.

According to him, this is a good example, MPP is in the middle of the city, easy access so that the community can become familiar with the government.

"Earlier, many people also came. Some wanted to get married, and some wanted to consult. So that means the people are not hesitant to consult with the government," said Bey.

"Of course it's good, and the government guides the public to get the right information. It's as simple as that," he added.

Bey also emphasized the importance of transparency in public services so that the public can monitor the progress of the public service they are accessing.

With excellent public services, it is hoped that the government will gain public trust.

Therefore, it is necessary to support apparatus that are oriented towards service attitudes, including front office staff so that they can also improve soft skills, including being friendly in serving the public who come to the MPP.

"I think it's not a burden for the government, but a challenge on how to improve public services to the community," said Bey.

Member of the Indonesian Ombudsman Dadan S. Suharmawijaya also appreciated the inauguration of the Majalengka MPP.

"This is a manifestation that the Majalengka Regency Government's service orientation is good," said Dadan.

He revealed that the orientation of public services is divided into two orientations, namely market oriented and citizen oriented.

According to him, the public services implemented at MPP Majalengka have combined these two orientations.

"So it is oriented towards market desires, as well as towards citizens' rights. For example, in the DPMPTSP (Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office) which serves business permits, it turns out that in this office there are also permits that are free for MSMEs. This is the government's bias," said Dadan.

40 types of services

Acting Regent of Majalengka Dedi Supandi said that there are around 40 types of public services at the MPP of Majalengka Regency.

All public services are available at 14 MPP outlets opened by a number of OPDs within the Majalengka Regency Government to vertical agencies ranging from the Immigration Office, BPN, Ministry of Religion, and others.

"Inside (the MPP) there are 14 service counters and 40 types of services, namely four types of services from vertical agencies, and the remaining 36 services are carried out by the local government," explained Dedi Supandi.
