PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor Bey Machmudin left a special message for the elected candidate pair for Governor/Deputy Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi - Erwan Setiawan.

"I have one message, please improve the welfare of the people of West Java," said Bey Machmudin during the West Java KPU Plenary Meeting to Determine the Elected Candidate Pair for Governor/Deputy Governor at the Grand Mercure Hotel Bandung Setiabudi, Bandung City, Thursday (9/1/2025).

Bey hopes that the Dedi-Erwan pair can carry out the people's mandate well so that West Java can become the leading province in Indonesia.

"Congratulations on the great mandate from the entire West Java community given to Mr. Dedi and Mr. Erwan, the community is looking forward to the work of both of you," said Bey.

After being determined by the KPU, Dedi - Erwan are just waiting for the inauguration date which will be determined by the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs.

"Today is an important part of the history of West Java's development journey," said Bey.

According to Bey, the success of the Simultaneous Regional Elections on November 27 reflects that democracy has matured in West Java.

Bey appreciated the performance of the KPU, Bawaslu, TNI/Polri, stakeholders, and all levels of society for their participation in the Simultaneous Regional Elections.

"We can carry out the simultaneous regional elections safely, peacefully and smoothly," he said.

Bey also thanked the three other candidate pairs who had participated in the West Java gubernatorial election for the ideas and thoughts they had expressed during the contest.

Meanwhile, Dedi Mulyadi said that he would communicate intensively with all levels of the Provincial Government, starting from the Acting Governor, Regional Secretary, to regional apparatus.

"We will communicate with the elected Governor and Deputy Governor with all regional apparatus," he said.

Dedi is committed that during his leadership, development will focus on what the public needs.

"I would like to thank all levels, because in the bureaucratic world at the provincial and district/city levels, the term opposition is not known, because we in the province, district/city are all governments that develop based on regional needs," he concluded.
