PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting (Pj.) Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin handed over a Decree from the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) regarding the extension of the term of office of the acting mayor of Tasikmalaya, West Java Province.

The Decree was handed over directly by Bey to Cheka Virgowansyah at Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Tuesday (14/11/2023).

With this decision, Cheka Virgowansyah was re-appointed as Acting Mayor of Tasikmalaya for the next year until November 14 2024.

"Today Mr. Cheka has been extended to serve again as Acting Mayor of Tasikmalaya for the next year," said Bey.

"Apart from Mr. Cheka, there are still six other district/city regional heads whose terms of office will soon end," he added.

The six regional heads are the Mayor of Banjar, the Regent of Kuningan, the Mayor of Cirebon, the Regent of Subang, the Regent of Majalengka, and the Regent of Bogor.

According to Bey, his party has also submitted the names of acting candidates (Pj.) to the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) for several regions in these districts/cities.

"We were the Acting Regent/Mayor who proposed it, also from the Regency/City DPRD, and to the Ministry of Home Affairs, so there were three proposals," said Bey.

"There are six regencies/cities proposed to become Acting, namely Cirebon City, Banjar City, Bogor Regency, Subang Regency, Majalengka Regency and Kuningan Regency," he added.
