PORTALJABAR, SUMEDANG REGENCY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin directly reviewed the implementation of the trial of the nutritious lunch program at Pamoyanan 2 Public Elementary School, Jatigede District, Sumedang Regency, Wednesday (2/10/2024).

The provision of nutritious lunches at SDN 2 Pamoyanan is an example that meets standards in the field.

This was revealed by Bey Machmudin when he saw firsthand the food menu that the students were eating.

"I see that from the upstream, it starts with cleanliness in the cooking area, then the type of food chosen, and the place to eat are all up to standards and are continuously monitored by friends in Sumedang Regency," said Bey.

Not only that, Bey said, the trial of the nutritious lunch program implemented in Sumedang Regency used local raw materials so that it could improve the economy of local residents.

"Local farmers are also empowered, for example rice from this area (local). So it is hoped that the economy from this area will also grow further," he added.

Bey also revealed that the food menu provided was in accordance with standards by providing balanced nutritional content.

"Nutrition is taken into account, and the cooking method is good and earlier there was a milk drink that was also appropriate," he said.

In addition, Bey said that the children at SDN Pamoyanan 2 really liked the food menu provided.

This is based on monitoring in the field when seeing that there was no food left in the dining area.

"I saw that all the food was finished, so I felt it was in accordance with the children's tastes," he said.

However, Bey still warned the Sumedang Regency Government to pay attention to cleanliness and punctuality in delivery if the number of students receiving the nutritious lunch program increases.

Meanwhile, Acting Regent of Sumedang Yudia Ramli said that the trial of the nutritious lunch program had entered its 20th day and was running smoothly.

The scheme implemented is collaborative participation from various elements, one of which is BUMD in Sumedang.

"This is indeed a scheme in Sumedang, for the first trial in the first month until the 20th day, it is participatory, meaning the costs come from BUMD contributions, then the community and so on," said Yudia.

"For the second month, we will use half of the APBD, which is taken from the education office. The value is IDR 152 million per month for 420 students in two elementary schools," he added.

There is something interesting about the trial of the nutritious lunch program in Sumedang. Yudia explained that it uses local raw materials in Jatigede District.

"So earlier, the Governor saw the mechanism and the flow. For food, it is taken from local raw materials such as in Jatigede. For example, fruits, here there are many melons and papayas that are taken from this area," said Yudia.
