PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - After determining the 2025 UMK, the Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Machmudin, announced the Regency/City Sectoral Minimum Wage (UMSK), at the Gedung Sate Bandung, Wednesday (18/12/2024) evening.
The announcement delivered by Bey Machmudin is stated in the Governor's Decree Number: 561.7/Kep.802-Kesra/2024 concerning the 2025 Regency/City Sectoral Minimum Wage (UMSK).
According to Bey, of the 27 regencies and cities in West Java, nine regions did not propose UMSK, namely Sukabumi City, Sukabumi Regency, Bandung Regency, Cirebon City, Kuningan Regency, Tasikmalaya Regency, Ciamis Regency, Pangandaran Regency, and Banjar City.
Then, there are 13 regencies and cities whose submissions were not approved, namely Bekasi City, Karawang Regency, Bekasi Regency, Purwakarta Regency, Bogor City, Bogor Regency, Bandung City, Cimahi City, West Bandung Regency, Sumedang Regency, Indramayu Regency, Cirebon Regency, Majalengka Regency.
"Therefore, based on the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 16 of 2024, if there is no agreement, we will not determine the UMSK," said Bey.
"The increase in the UMSK is 7 percent," he added.
Meanwhile, there are five districts and cities that have submitted UMSK, namely Subang Regency, Depok City, Cianjur Regency, Garut Regency, and Tasikmalaya City.
However, based on Article 7 of Permanekar 16/2024 concerning work risks, not all of them are determined. Only Subang Regency and Depok City whose UMSK submissions meet the criteria.
"Meanwhile, the other three areas, namely Cianjur Regency, Tasikmalaya City, and Garut Regency, do not meet the criteria," said Bey.
"So we have complied with the Minister of Manpower Regulation, we ask that it be agreed upon together, this is for the good of all of us, so we also calculate in the current economic conditions, really calculated so that the continuity of the industry continues to run," concluded Bey.
