PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin inspected Polling Stations (TPS) 01 and 03 in Harumansari Village, Kadungora District, Garut Regency, Tuesday (11/26/2024).

The review was conducted to see the readiness of the implementation of the Simultaneous Regional Elections in Garut Regency. Bey ensured that there were no obstacles and believed that the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Election voting in Garut would run smoothly.

"It's ready, hopefully tomorrow will go smoothly without any obstacles. The ballot papers are already at the village office, they will be collected today and according to the procedure will be guarded until the Pilkada is held tomorrow," said Bey.

In addition, Bey reported that the West Java KPU is targeting public participation in the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections to reach 80 percent. He invited the public to exercise their voting rights and come to the TPS.

"Of course we hope that the public will use their right to vote, we show that West Java is conducive and the level of participation is very high," said Bey.

"We all maintain security together so that the Simultaneous Regional Elections can run safely, honestly, fairly and smoothly," he added.

Regarding disaster-prone areas in West Java, Bey ensured that all parties had carried out disaster mitigation in accordance with existing procedures.

"So if a disaster does occur, the TPS will be secured, if residents are unable to go to the TPS, it is possible to use a mobile TPS. So the TPS will come to the residents," he said.
