PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin declared peace for the 2024 West Java Governor and Deputy Governor Election at Laswi Heritage, Bandung City, Tuesday (24/9/2024).

The declaration is an important moment to jointly commit to realizing a safe, peaceful, orderly, sporting and intervention-free West Java Governor and Deputy Governor Election.

"The regional head elections must be able to become a democratic celebration for the people of West Java that can be carried out well, calmly, and free from intervention," said Bey.

Therefore, Bey invited all parties, starting from candidate pairs (paslon), campaign teams (timses), to the community, to make the Election of Governor and Deputy Governor a calm and happy democratic party space.

"This declaration aims to strengthen the commitment of all parties in the election, both candidate pairs, campaign teams, and the community to maintain calm, respect each other, and uphold political ethics," he said.

Bey also reminded that the democratic party must bring a sense of security to the community. According to him, all parties need to obey the regulations during the democratic party.

"I ask that the campaign team continue to obey the rules, including traffic. If everything runs orderly, it will not only make the public comfortable, but also reflect the credibility of the candidate pair they support," Bey said.

In addition, Bey stated that togetherness must continue to be maintained as well as possible during the democratic party. Because, togetherness is an important foundation in building West Java.

"Like when we became the overall champion of PON, that with collective spirit, we can achieve extraordinary things. Let's bring that spirit to the gubernatorial election, to produce the best leader for West Java," said Bey.

Not to forget, Bey also appreciated the West Java General Election Commission (KPU) which initiated the Peaceful Declaration for the 2024 West Java Governor and Deputy Governor Election.

"I would like to thank the West Java KPU for initiating this important event. This initiative is not only a positive initial step, but also the key to ensuring democracy in West Java runs peacefully and orderly," he said.

In the declaration, Bey and the candidate pair signed the Peace Declaration as a symbol of commitment to maintaining a peaceful and dignified democracy.
