PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin submitted the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs regarding the Extension of the Term of Office of the Acting Regent of Majalengka and the Acting Regent of Subang at the Pakuan Building, Bandung City, Saturday (14/12/2024).
Thus, Dedi Supandi will return to lead Majalengka during the transition period until the elected regent from the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections is inaugurated in February 2025. The Acting Regent of Subang, Imran, also had his term of office extended until the inauguration of the definitive regent.
Bey said that the extension of the term of office of the two acting regents was a form of trust from the central government and was considered to have good performance.
"This term extension is proof of the central government's trust in his performance," said Bey.
Bey is optimistic that the people of Subang and Majalengka will be proud because they are once again led by the acting governor who has made many achievements.
Bey said that Imran's firmness in resolving the bullying case some time ago in Subang received a lot of appreciation and should be emulated by other leaders.
"I know that there is a lot of appreciation for Mr. Imran, especially regarding the resolution of the bullying case. Many people appreciate his firm actions and this should be emulated," he said.
Likewise with Dedi Supandi, during his leadership of Majalengka, he achieved many innovations in various fields and awards.
"I also know that Mr. Dedi has made many breakthroughs in Majalengka and has won many awards," said Bey.
Bey then advised both of them, even though they were serving in a transition period, they still had to work optimally, especially in serving the community. He asked them to continue the innovations that had been made even though they had a fairly short time.
"Even though we are in this transition period, we must continue to improve public services. If there is innovation, please continue and increase transparency in order to gain public trust in the government," said Bey.
