PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Secretary of the Garut Regency Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora), Neni Nurliana, officially opened the 2026 Great Youth Bootcamp, which took place at the Bela Negara Building, Jalan Cipanas Baru, Tarogong Kaler District, Garut Regency, Wednesday (17/6/2026). This year's activity carried the strategic theme, "Efforts to Develop the Capacity and Entrepreneurial Spirit of Youth in Garut Regency."

In her remarks, Neni Nurliana expressed her appreciation for the innovative implementation of this bootcamp. While similar entrepreneurship training is typically held indoors, this time the Garut Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) is breaking new ground by adopting an outdoor concept.

"Today, with the extraordinary ideas from Kang Ganjar and his friends, thank God this activity can be carried out outdoors," said Neni Nurliana.

This intensive training was attended by selected youth who had outperformed hundreds of other applicants. Of the 265 applicants, only 40 of the best participants successfully passed the rigorous selection process. These selected participants represent a diverse range of youth groups, from academics and the Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI), to young entrepreneurs.

"The friends here are extraordinary, because not everyone can make it. Only 40 young people in Garut Regency can participate in this activity. I advise, during the two-day activity, to the bootcamp participants to be able to participate with full joy, responsibility and not to feel like a burden. Not only will the knowledge be useful for colleagues, but it can be passed on to other young people. In the future, colleagues can create or provide new ideas about youth entrepreneurship," hoped Neni.

Meanwhile, the Chair of the Organizing Committee, Dian Hadianto, stated that the 2026 Great Wiramuda Bootcamp represents a real commitment from the regional government to boost the quality of the younger generation as the pillars of regional development.

Dian explained that the outdoor learning approach was deliberately chosen to provide participants with a more interactive, challenging, and memorable learning experience. Through systematically designed field activities, participants are not only exposed to theory but also directly practice important aspects such as entrepreneurial capacity and competency, leadership and teamwork, communication skills, problem-solving, discipline, and adaptability.

At the end of his report, Dian expressed his deep gratitude to the Head of the Garut Regency Youth and Sports Office and his staff for their full support, as well as to the speakers, mentors, and facilitators who oversaw the event.

On the same occasion, the Coordinator of Wira Hebat, Ganjar Hidayat, congratulated the 40 young people who officially became the first batch and part of the Wira Hebat ecosystem of Garut Regency.

He emphasized that the main focus of the 2-day, 1-night bootcamp was to overhaul and build an entrepreneurial mindset.

"So, God willing, over the next two days and one night, we will invite the participants to have fun, and there will be more simulations than theory," said Ganjar.

He motivated all participants to straighten their intentions and seriously utilize this momentum to transform into successful entrepreneurs who are able to advance the economy of Garut Regency in the future.

The 2026 Wiramuda Hebat Bootcamp took place solemnly and featured a presentation by M. Luthfi Ananda, Co-Founder of Tata Insan Indonesia and Chief Facilitator of Wirahebat. (Garut Communications and Information Service/rka)
