PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Central Statistics Agency (BPS) released inflation data for November 2024. As a result, Bandung City recorded inflation of 0.20 percent (month-to-month) in November 2024, below the national average of 0.30 percent.

Year-to-date, Bandung City inflation was recorded at 1.21 percent. This makes it one of the lowest in West Java. Meanwhile, year-on-year inflation reached 1.54 percent, slightly lower than the national average of 1.55 percent.

The food, beverage, and tobacco group was the main contributor to inflation with a contribution of 0.12 percent. Commodities that played a role in the increase in inflation included broiler chicken, gold jewelry, and cooking oil. On the other hand, commodities such as red chili and cayenne pepper contributed to deflation.

The data also shows that Bandung City has the fourth lowest month-to-month inflation in West Java along with Depok City, after Tasikmalaya City, Bekasi City, and Cirebon City.

With this achievement, Bandung City inflation shows stability that can support people's purchasing power amid the dynamics of basic necessities prices. (Bandung City Communication and Information Service/Revo)
