PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi officially opened the 2026 West Java Governor's Cup Sabrengna League which was held at Arcamanik Field, Bandung City, Monday (30/3/2026).

The soccer competition between regional government agencies within the West Java Provincial Government aims to strengthen ties and increase collaboration.

In his remarks, KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, invited all participants to play with enthusiasm and happiness, while still upholding the seriousness of the competition.

"First, we play with joy, but we play football seriously, do it with sincerity," he said.

The opening ceremony was relaxed and full of jokes. KDM even joked about his desire to play as a goalkeeper.

He also expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of the dozens of participating teams. "Are you ready to be a champion?" he asked, to the enthusiastic response of the players.

Furthermore, KDM hopes that this activity can become a regular agenda, not only as a sporting event, but also a means of strengthening togetherness within the government environment.

"Hopefully, this will become a regular activity every afternoon, in between our efforts to help the people of West Java," he said.

On that occasion, KDM also highlighted the condition of Arcamanik Stadium, which he deemed in need of renovation. He requested that the Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) immediately improve the facilities.

"I asked the Head of the Youth and Sports Agency to find a new architect to design this stadium so that it can be used effectively for our children's activities," he stressed.

According to him, all sports facilities owned by the West Java Provincial Government must be suitable and functional facilities for the community.

"I want all sports facilities to be special. They don't have to be luxurious, but they have to be well-utilized," he added.

The opening of the 2026 Sabrengna League was also marked by a match between the Barkhadin Barudak Haji Udin FC team, a team fostered by West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, and the West Java Provincial Secretariat team led by Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman.
