PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang proposed a part-time employee scheme to accommodate honorary workers who did not pass the selection of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) stage I, this was conveyed after inaugurating 9,051 PPPK, Wednesday (26/3/2025).

Ade said, the Bekasi Regency Government (Pemdakab) is committed to providing the best solution for all employees. For that, for honorary workers who have not received the PPPK formation, please be patient.

The plan is for part-time employees to be proposed after the second phase of PPPK selection. Currently, the second phase of PPPK selection is in process.

"I also want to convey a message to non-ASN workers who have not received a formation in the PPPK selection stage 1 to remain patient. Because we, the Bekasi Regency Government, will propose a part-time PPPK scheme after the PPPK selection stage 2, to provide the best solution," he said.

According to Law 20 of 2023 concerning the State Civil Apparatus, the government can no longer recruit new honorary workers. For this reason, honorary or non-ASN workers are optimized to be appointed as either ASN or PPPK. Meanwhile, those who do not pass the selection are directed to become part-time PPPK.

"We are trying to find the best solution for our employees who have served this region and this nation," he said.

Ade also reminded all heads of regional apparatus within the Bekasi District Government not to recruit new honorary workers.

"Therefore, the head of the regional apparatus must ensure compliance with this rule in the process of arranging non-ASN personnel. So we first arrange what already exists," he said.

It is known that the Bekasi Regency Government is the first region in Indonesia to officially inaugurate PPPK. Not only that, the number is also the largest, reaching 9,051 PPPK.

Not only inaugurating, Ade also reminded all PPPK to be professional, show the best performance and focus on serving the community.

"I hope that the PPPK can show the best performance, as part of a professional bureaucracy. Don't stop learning and continue to improve your competence, because the challenges in public service are now increasingly dynamic," he said.
