PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto accompanied the West Java Police Chief in monitoring traffic flow on D+4 of Eid on the Puncak route, Bogor Regency, which took place at the Eid Homecoming security post (Pospam) 2B Gadog, Ciawi on Friday (4/4/2025).
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto gave parcels in the form of snacks to travelers who passed through the Puncak route of Bogor Regency.
The Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) of the West Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Pol Dodi Darjanto, revealed that the situation in Gadog and the Puncak tourist area was monitored as safe and under control.
"The West Java Regional Police Chief together with the Regent, Dandim, Bogor and Bogor City Police Chiefs conducted direct checks on the Kamseltibcar Lantas situation in the Gadog area, especially in the Puncak tourist area. Monitoring shows that traffic flow towards Puncak has been managed well so that there are no significant obstacles," he said.
Please note, from the monitoring results, the flow on the northern route was recorded as smooth from 06.00 to 09.00 in the morning.
Traffic engineering management is still implemented with a one-way system from KM 188 to 70 and contraflow from KM 70 to 47.
It is estimated that the one-way system can be extended to KM 256 in the afternoon, depending on the latest data from the Indonesian Police Traffic Corps.
He said, on the north-south arterial route, especially in the southern part, there was a slight obstruction due to the high volume of vehicles exceeding the road capacity.
However, the police and related agencies have implemented an open-close pattern to overcome the density.
"The public is expected to be patient, especially for vehicles that are temporarily stopped to provide space for the homecoming flow to Bandung and Jakarta," he explained.
He said, specifically in the Puncak area, the number of vehicles has increased significantly. Two days ago, it was recorded that around 20,000 vehicles passed, while today the number has increased to 36,000 vehicles, both going up and down.
"The instructions from the Regional Police Chief and Traffic Corps emphasize that all police ranks are ready to serve the public on various routes, including the Pantura route, toll roads, and arterial roads," he said.
Furthermore, Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto said that various strategic steps had been taken.
It is expected that traffic flow during the Lebaran return flow can run smoothly, and congestion problems in various areas of Bogor Regency can be handled well. (Public Communication Team / Bogor Regency Communication and Information Service / rka)
