PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan gave his appreciation to Bogor Regency environmental activists through the 2023 Bogor Regency Environmentally Friendly (BKRL) activities at Tegar Beriman Field, Monday (18/12/2023).

Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan revealed that the BKRL or Environmentally Friendly Village (KRL) competition is an annual agenda as a form of appreciation for environmental activists at RT and RW levels to motivate the entire community to improve their culture of caring for the environment.

"Thank you and congratulations to all participants, environmental activists and the Environmental Service who always organize this Environmentally Friendly Village competition. "Let's improve the quality of life together, by building awareness of the environment, starting with ourselves, our families, our villages and the environment where we live," he said.

According to the Regent of Bogor, we have carried out various environmental activities, including waste management, improving sanitation, environmental planning, tree planting, making biopore holes, environmental mitigation and adaptation and encouraging potential utilization.

"As well as local wisdom to improve the community's economy while maintaining environmental resilience in a sustainable manner," he said.

Furthermore, the Acting Head of the Environmental Service, Endah Nurmayanti, added that the purpose of this activity was a form of appreciation from the Bogor Regency Government to RT, RW, independent and sustainable villages that have carried out environmental management. Also appreciation for schools that have implemented and cultivated environmental management in schools.

"We held this award to increase community participation in developing their own region in a beautiful, clean, healthy and environmentally friendly manner. "Also as a medium for educating the public regarding environmental protection in Bogor Regency," he said.

There is KRL 204, there are National, Provincial, Independent and Regency Adiwiyata Schools. There is also a climate village, an environmental companion for those obliged to distribute waste management who have carried out payment fees regularly and online.

There are 3 best KRLs at the Champion Level from 8 participants, Primary Level KRLs have 3 best KRLs from 21 participants, Intermediate Level KRLs have 6 best KRLs from 98 participants, and Primary Level KRLs have 6 best KRLs from 141 participants.

Meanwhile, at the National Level Adiwiyata Schools there are 8 schools, at the Provincial Level there are 21 schools. As well as winning the most awards for Adiwiyata at the Provincial Level in 2023. This consists of 1 Adiwiyata Mandiri School, 46 Adiwiyata Schools at Regency Level, including 31 elementary schools, 6 middle schools and 9 high schools. (rdp*)
