PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan appointed the Head of the state elementary school, the head of the state junior high school and the school supervisor within the Bogor Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab). A total of 347 State Elementary and Middle School Principals, as well as School Supervisors were inaugurated at the Tegar Beriman Building, Bogor Regency, Thursday (29/12/2023).

Iwan explained that the challenges of the world of education are increasingly complex. In the midst of conditions that are prone to turmoil and the rapid development of information technology, educational institutions are required to be more adaptive and innovative in order to create professional school management and effective and quality teaching patterns. Moreover, with the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, all education stakeholders must immediately adapt.

"School principals, apart from being responsible for organizing educational activities, school administration, developing other educational staff, utilizing and maintaining facilities and infrastructure, must also be able to be role models and inspirations in building student character in the school environment," he said.

Iwan said that school supervisors play an important role in controlling, assessing and evaluating the course of the educational process as a driving force in increasing the resources of educators and students so that the educational process is conducive and effective, and produces quality students.

"God willing, I am sure that those who will be inaugurated today will be selected people who are able to make innovative breakthroughs for the advancement of education and produce the nation's next generation who are intelligent, have character, are competitive and have noble morals," he said.

He added, on behalf of the Bogor Regional Government, he would like to congratulate the Principals and School Supervisors who have been appointed. Hopefully we can carry out our mandate to improve the quality of education, especially in Bogor Regency.
