PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto, accompanied by the Head of the Bogor Regency Trade and Industry Service (Disdagin), conducted a surprise inspection (Sidak) to two large shopping centers in the Cibinong area, namely Lotte Grosir Pakansari and Indogrosir Cibinong, Tuesday (29/4/2025).

This inspection aims to ensure that there are no food products in circulation that are suspected of containing pork elements, following an official circular from the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) of the Republic of Indonesia.

Rudy confirmed that from the results of direct checks in the field, no products containing pork elements were found in the two locations.

"We conducted a direct check today and the results, both at Lotte Grosir and Indogrosir, the products that were previously indicated are no longer found. They have followed up on the direction of the central government and pulled the products from the sales shelves," he said.

Rudy explained that the inspection will continue to a total of 11 other modern store locations. In addition, supervision will also be focused on stores located around schools to ensure consumption safety for the community, especially children.

"This inspection is not just supervision, but also a form of government protection for consumers. We want to ensure that all stores comply with government circulars. We have also instructed the sub-district heads and the Disdagin team to participate in this supervision," he said.

It should be noted that the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) through the Bogor Regency Trade and Industry Office has also issued an appeal to business actors, including distributors and distribution centers (DC) from modern retail networks such as Indomaret and Alfamart.

According to him, if during the check it is found that there are still products being sold, the first step taken is to ask the store to immediately pull the product from the shelves. If after the appeal and re-checking the product is still circulating, the Bogor Regency Government will take strict action according to applicable regulations.

Rudy emphasized that the Bogor Regency Government ensures that supervision will continue to be carried out intensively. If violations are found, the government will evaluate business permits and impose sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations.

"For the people of Bogor Regency, we ask that you do not need to worry. We continue to strive to maintain the safety and halalness of the products in circulation, so that people feel safe in shopping," he said.

Head of Bogor Regency Trade and Industry Service, Arif Rahman, explained that his party had distributed an appeal to business actors and distributors, including Indomaret, Alfamart, and other modern store chains.

"We also ask the sub-district heads to supervise their respective areas. If violations are found, immediately report them to us for follow-up," he said.

Arif added that the awareness of the stores is quite good. Some have even withdrawn products independently after receiving a circular from the center.

"To strengthen this commitment, Disdagin will ask every store to sign a statement letter to no longer sell products containing pork elements," he said. (Diskominfo Kabupaten Bogor/UPI)
