PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - The Bogor Regency Government (Pemdakab) has confirmed its commitment to handling alleged requests for Eid Allowances (THR) by village heads and cuts in incentives for public transportation drivers in the Bogor Regency area.

This was conveyed directly by the Regent of Bogor, Rudy Susmanto, in a press conference held at the Bogor Regent's Pendopo, Sunday (6/4/2025).

Rudy apologized to the public for the inconvenience caused and ensured that the Bogor District Government had taken concrete steps.

"We have assigned the Bogor Regency Saber Pungli Team consisting of the Police, the Prosecutor's Office, and the Inspectorate to investigate this report. So far, nine people have been questioned, consisting of four village heads, one Transportation Agency employee, and several from other organizational groups," he said.

He emphasized that based on the results of the interim investigation, the Bogor Regency Transportation Agency as an institution was not involved in the process of cutting incentives for public transportation drivers.

"The Transportation Agency is not involved in the distribution of incentives to public transportation drivers, especially in the Puncak area. However, if there are individuals involved individually, they will certainly be prosecuted according to applicable legal provisions," he said.

He said that strict sanctions would be given to anyone proven to have violated the rules.

"If criminal elements are found, the process will be continued to the legal realm according to the provisions of applicable laws and regulations. In fact, if there are elements of government involved, we will not hesitate to remove them from office," he said.

Rudy also added that the complete results of the Saber Pungli Team's investigation are planned to be announced transparently to the public early next week.

"We want the public to know, we are not covering up. This is a momentum for all of us to improve. The Bogor Regency Government in the future must be clean and truly serve the public," he said.

Bogor Police Chief AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro added that the joint team had been moving since Thursday (3/4/2025), to secure documents and ask for information from related parties.

"We are opening up space for the public to provide additional information that can strengthen the inspection process," he said.

The Bogor District Government appreciates the role of village heads and village officials who have worked professionally and constructively. However, deviant actions will be prosecuted without discrimination as part of an effort to create a clean and accountable government.

The press conference was also attended by the Bogor Regency Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), the Head of the Bogor Regency District Attorney's Office, the Regional Secretary, as well as the Head of the Transportation Service, the Head of the Communication and Information Service, representatives of the DPMD, and the Bogor Regency Inspectorate.
