PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto inspected repairs to potholes on the Parung and Kemang sections at around 03.00 WIB to ensure the smooth flow of homecoming traffic and the safety of residents ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah (24/2/2026).
The review was conducted to expedite the handling of damaged points that have been disrupting public mobility on routes with high vehicle volumes.
Rudy Susmanto apologized for the inconvenience caused by the damaged road conditions and emphasized that user safety is a priority for the local government.
"Although some of this section is a national road, the majority of its users are residents of Bogor Regency. Therefore, we're not talking about authority, but about shared responsibility for public safety," said Rudy Susmanto.
The Ministry of Public Works, together with the Bogor Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency, has divided the handling according to its authority so that repairs can be carried out in parallel and more quickly.
Elements of the Parung and Kemang District Leadership Coordination Forum, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), members of the Bogor Regency Regional Representative Council, and village heads also supported the acceleration of the work.
Residents, along with youth organizations such as the Indonesian National Youth Committee and Karang Taruna, also carried out temporary patching at several points to reduce the risk of accidents.
The Bogor Regency Transportation Agency also repaired public street lighting that had gone out to improve visibility for drivers at night.
This integrated approach aims to make the Parung-Kemang route safer, more comfortable, and support economic activity and the homecoming travel of residents in Bogor Regency. (Bogor Regency Communications and Information Office/bhf)
