PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Regent of Garut, Abdusy Syakur Amin opened the 45th Qur'an and Hadith Recitation Competition (MTQH) at the Garut Regency Level in 2025 at the Singajaya 2 Middle School Field, Singajaya District, Garut Regency (10/4/2025).

Syakur expressed his deep gratitude to the entire organizing committee and all parties involved in making the opening of the district-level MTQH this year a success.

Apart from that, he also advised all MTQH participants to use the Al-Quran as a guide for life.

"The Quran is not just to be read, but should be used as a guide for our daily lives," said Syakur.

He hopes that through the implementation of the 45th MTQH in 2025, Garut Regency will become stronger, greater, more blessed, and always receive the blessings and help of Allah.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Welfare (Kesra) Section of the Garut Regency Secretariat, Mekarwati, explained that Singajaya District was designated as the location for holding the 45th MTQH at the Garut Regency Level in 2025.

Furthermore, Mekarwati said that the 45th MTQH at the Garut Regency level was held from Wednesday to Monday, April 9-14, 2025, at Singajaya District. A total of 1207 participants or kafilah from all districts in Garut Regency participated in this activity, participating in 9 branches and 25 groups that were competed.

The branches competed include the art of reading the Qur'an (5 groups of boys & girls), Qira'at Al-Qur'an (3 groups of boys & girls), memorization of the Qur'an (5 groups of boys & girls), interpretation of the Qur'an (3 groups of boys & girls), fahmil Qur'an (2 groups of boys & girls), syarhil Al-Qur'an (2 groups of boys & girls), art of calligraphy of the Qur'an (4 groups of boys & girls), scientific writing of the Qur'an (boys & girls), and the branch of hadith (2 groups).

At the end of the speech on behalf of the MTQ organizing committee at the Garut Regency level, Mekarwati expressed her highest gratitude and appreciation to all parties for the implementation of the 45th MTQH, and apologized for any shortcomings that may have occurred during the implementation of the activity.
